Romantic Comedies
Below are movies that we have podcasted about along with our ratings and the cocktails we paired with each movie. Click on the picture for the cocktail that we paired for each movie. For the cocktail recipes, please see the "Rom-Com Cocktail" page.

An Interesting Watch . . .
. . . or is it? We can't agree on whether this movie is worth a watch or not. Some of the plot is farfetched or doesn't make sense, which seems a bit disjointed in a movie that is seemingly realistic. The only aspect of the movie we can agree on is that Paul Rudd is an absolute delight in this movie. He should not be missed! Paired with Bloody Marys.

Overrated
Some people may love this movie, but we are not among them. This movie did not hit anywhere close to the mark for us, and we couldn't wait for it to be over. The only characters we truly liked either didn't get enough screen time or were shit on during the movie. Give his movie a pass unless you want to hear bad music and bad southern accents. Paired with Alabama Slammers.

Defining Role
Reese Witherspoon has many unforgettable roles, but our favorite will always be Elle Woods of Legally Blonde. She's a complete badass who doesn't care what others think of her, and she goes after what she wants—no matter the obstacle. Paired with a Bend and Snap Cocktail.

Love These Two Together
This movie, while not displaying the best way to parent a child, is a fun watch that shows the incomparable Julia Roberts and George Clooney falling in love again. We loved watching their developing romance while also hating them a little bit for what they do to their daughter! This movie has a great supporting cast and takes place in a gorgeous setting. Paired with Two Tickets to Paradise.

Expectedly Funny
If you love Billy Eichner (like we do), this movie is for you. It is a refreshing love story that takes all the twists and turns of real-life love. The main couple has great chemistry and laugh-out-loud moments. Paired with a white chocolate martini (it'll make sense when you watch the move!).

Role Reversal
This movie flips the typical script of the male action hero and the female who needs saving. Opinions were split on this movie, with Allison enjoying it and Marie thinking it was cliché and just okay. There were definitely some cute parts to this movie, and it's fun to watch Chris Evans be a walking red flag. Paired with a Sunflower cocktail.

Aca-What?!
The first Pitch Perfect is definitely a classic. Yet another movie in our Six Degrees of . . ., we absolutely love this fun trip, even if we don't love the main character. Listen to us bash Becca while aca-adoring just about everything else in this movie. Paired with TWO drinks: the Breakfast Club and the Pitch Perfect.

Pittsburgh Pride
We loved seeing all the glimpses of Pittsburgh you get in this film. This rom-com is definitely a switch-up from the usual fare, and it is refreshing. Elizabeth Banks and Seth Rogen play off each other in the most delightful way. Chemistry abounds even if believability doesn't! Paired with a Porn Star Martini.

Yikes, Yikes, Yikes
How could a movie with this many stars fall so flat? By perpetuating awful stereotypes about women and generally making us seem crazy. Watch for a trip down early aughts' fashion lane . . . and that's it. Paired with a He's Just Not That Into You cocktail

We Heart Jamie Lee Curtis
She is an icon. Yes, there are definitely some cringey parts to this movie, but we still feel that it is a classic. We wanted to see Chad Michael Murray was a better love interest in this movie, and he did it! He turns up the chemistry and dials down the angst to be a cute love interest. And don't forget, the band's song absolutely slaps! Paired with a Pink Slip.

Confusing
This movie is bad, okay? We know this; we accept this. However, we still get all the warm feelies at the end of it. This was a creative try to modernize Cinderella, but does it fall flat? Listen to this podcast to hear our opinions. Paired with a Dirty Cinderella.

Wholeome Fun
We absolutely adore Christina Ricci and James McAvoy in this movie; their chemistry is undeniable. Just as undeniable is that James McAvoy is at his cutest, and Catherine O'Hara is actually a worse mom in this movie than Home Alone - shocking, we know! This is a rom-com for the whole family, and there is nothing wrong with that. Up it's rating to a PG-13 by pairing it with a Penelope.

One of Marie's Faves
This movie set was fraught with drama, and we are Here. For. It. In fact, it had almost as much drama as the movie did! Even though this movie may not be for everyone, it is a classic that deserves to be seen at least once. Paired with a Singin' in the Rain.

A Christmas Classic
Or just a classic? We weigh in on whether or not this is actually a Christmas movie. We delve into this movie by breaking tradition and having two drinks: the White Christmas and The White Knight. We also talk about what a babe Danny Kaye was and try to kick as high as Vera-Ellen.

Heading Towards the Lohan-aissance
But it's happening with this shitty, shitty movie. This movie was quite the ride, in a I'm-never-getting-on-this-ride-again type of way. Netflix has done some stellar Christmas movies, but this is definitely one to miss. Listen to us explain why! Paired with a Ski Breeze.

A Whole Era
Youngsters these days may not be familiar with Pauly Shore, but if you lived through the 90s, you are quite familiar with this guy. This movie may give people an unrealistic expectation about what living through the 90s was like, and just like The Prince and Me, it plays up the stereotypes of American farmers. We would recommend watching it once, as it is interesting and has some fun fashion. Paired with an Apple Pie.

There's 4 of These?!
A Thanksgiving teen rom-com that would have defined our hopes for college if we had watched it back in the day. Opinions were split as to whether this movie should be watched. Paired with a Racecar.

Not a Rom-Com
But we had to do it! This movie is a Halloween classic, especially for those of us who may not be into scary movies. The rom and the com may be light in this movie, but there are moments of each that can be found. Paired with a Sleepy Hollow.

We Hear This is a Cult Classic
This movie is a must-see for all romantic comedy lovers but we just aren't sure if its our cup of tea. The 90s fashion is worth a watch for itself. Paired with Midnight Margartas.

We love these two together!
This quick-witted move showcases the natural chemistry between Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder. Their delightful and cutting dialogue reveals more about themselves than each other. Try out this more recent, but less well known, rom-com to get a large dose of serotonin and hope. Paired with a Mighty Aphrodite cocktail.

A Hidden Gem
While winding down our wedding rom-com series, we discuss this lesser known movie (and, of course, Game of Thrones). Jack Quaid and Maya Erskine bring the heat in this friends-turned-lover rom-com. Cooter's out! Paired with a Flower Drop cocktail.

The Debate
Is this movie one of the best rom-coms of all time? Stephen with a ph joins us to discuss The Wedding Singer. One of us breaks from our cocktail rules while we discuss (and argue about) the chemistry and obstacles in this movie. Paired with fancy rum and cokes.

A Very Guilty Pleasure
Thanks to these wedding rom-coms, we have found that we truly enjoy angry dance scenes. We discuss the chemistry between J.Lo and Matthew McConaughey while wondering just who would roast marshmallows over a scented candle. Paired with a Dumpster Fire cocktail.

A Truly Wild Ride
This movie may be light on believability, but it is heavy on drama. With a sister like Tess, Jane's backstory could have been anyone's villain origin story. Listen up to how Tess compares with Amy from The Wedding Date as well as just how cute we find James Marsden. Paired with a Belvy and the Jets.

So Relatable
Everyone can sympathize with having a crazy family! We were as surprised as anyone that we hadn't discussed this movie yet, but it fits perfectly into our wedding rom-com series! We cover a lot of things during this podcast . . . a lot of things that aren't necessarily related to the movie! Paired with a Windex martini.
